My family and I had the distinct pleasure of utilizing St. Lucia Airport Shuttle on our recent trip to St. Lucia (4/16-23/15). Our hotel wanted to charge us $290.00 for a round-trip airport transfer which may or may not have had stops at hotels along the way to accommodate other passengers. I shopped around and found St. Lucia Airport Shuttle quoting a more reasonable rate of $150.00 for our own private shuttle. The airport is approximately an hour and a half's drive away from the hotel. We arrived in St. Lucia on the 16th and had no problem finding Isaac, our driver. We can't say enough good things about Isaac. He was a gracious host, excellent driver and knowledgeable tour guide. Isaac was a great storyteller and was justifiably proud of his island nation. Isaac had cold beverages waiting for us. We set out for the hotel and made a couple of stops along the way for scenic views. My favorite stop was at a local eatery where Isaac brought out freshly-baked creole bread loaded with cheese. What a delicious treat after two long plane flights!! Isaac made us feel so welcome that we made arrangements to have him give us a tour of the island during our stay. Isaac arrived early for our scheduled tour time. Again, cool refreshments were provided. As we drove through the capitol city of Castries, Isaac was talking about the rich history of the island, which includes two Nobel Peace Prize winners and the French and British constantly battling over ownership of the island which exchanged hands at least 7 times. We were traveling with two almost two-year-old twins which is a challenge even on a routine day. Each twin was carsick mostly over daddy but Isaac took it all in stride, didn't get upset at all. Isaac took us to a local neighborhood where we were able to secure some clean replacement clothes, sample a wonderful spiced rum concoction and some banana ketchup. Everyone spoke highly of Isaac, saying he was an excellent tour guide. Next, it was on to the St. Lucia Rum distillery tour for the rum tasting. Four dollars buys you samples of twenty different variations of St. Lucian rum! Deal of the trip! We saw the Pitons, visited a waterfall and ate lunch at a little locals spot in downtown Soufriere. When you're the only tourists in the place, that's a good thing. Lunch was delicious. Our party tried chicken and fish along with some tasty side dishes and washed down nicely by an ice-cold Piton;) Our vacation wouldn't have been the same without Isaac as our tour guide. Of course, all good things must come to an end so we made a special request with St. Lucia Airport Shuttle to have Isaac take us back to the airport. The request was handled perfectly and Isaac was at the hotel early so we were able to enjoy a leisurely drive to the airport without worrying about missing our flight. I highly recommend St. Lucia Airport Shuttle. Isaac is da man!! Excellent services provided, no complaints whatsoever. We will definitely go back to St. Lucia and use their services again. Thank you.
